Concealers are by far my favourite makeup product! They are like a magic wand, camouflaging imperfections and giving the illusion of perfect skin!
Here is my top 8 all-time favourite concealers, that will you would find both in my kit and personal makeup bag!
MAC Prolong wear concealer:
A long-term favourite, it has been in my kit since the very beginning!
I love that it offers a medium-full coverage, that lasts for up to 15 hours! This concealer, covers all imperfections, leaving a soft matte finish behind. It works both on the face and under eyes and it doesn’t crease and covers with minimal product. What is particularly great about this product is that it has a liquid consistency, so its easily to blend and doesn’t look heavy on the skin. Another benefit is that it’s Transfer-resistant and water-resistant.
Nars creamy concealer:
This is one of my absolute favourite concealers out there, and definitely the first one I reach for the most! It offers creamy, hydrating buildable full coverage and offers a natural luminous finish. It is effortless to apply and blends out beautifully, leaving your skin look healthy, radiant, smooth. The light reflecting particles blur out fine lines and imperfections, and it looks fresh all day long. I highly recommend going into Mecca and checking it out!
Tarte maracuja creaseless concealer:
A waterproof, full coverage concealer, that provides a luminous finish.
Slightly tackier texture then the other concealers, this hydrating formula offers a luminous finish. It works particularly well under the eyes, as it is excellent at covering dark circles.
Make sure to set with a loose powder, to ensure it stays on all day!
Urban decay weightless concealer:
I was initially sceptical that this concealer wouldn’t offer high coverage due to its thin consistency. But, I’m glad to say I was pleasantly surprised!
Despite its thin consistency, this concealer offers a medium to buildable coverage. The easy-to-blend formula results in a ‘skin-like’ satin finish that allows the skin to look naturally perfected. It remains fresh throughout the day, smoothing out the skin without settling in lines or pores.
Kevyn aucoin sensual skin enhancer:
To say this concealer has coverage is an understatement. A highly pigmented cream, offering MAXIMUM coverage. What I love most about this product is how versatile it is. You can apply it alone to cover imperfections or it can be sheered out with a moisturizer or beauty oil and be worn as foundation.
Setting with a translucent powder will ensure it doesn’t crease and lasts throughout the day.
Excellent for makeup artists to keep in their kits or for those who want a multi-purpose product.
Makeup forever HD concealer:
A thin, highly pigmented concealer that looks natural and is HD compatible. I use a peachy/pink shade to correct under the eye before I follow up with a skin-tone concealer to brighten.
MAC studio finish concealer palette:
These palettes are versatile, offering a diverse range of peach and yellow toned concealer that use can use to conceal and correct different areas of your face.
Peach/pink toned concealers are perfect to correct darkness under eyes or on areas of pigmentation on the face. Whereas the yellow-toned concealers are perfect for correcting redness and brightening the face. Must have for professional makeup artists, as you can customise the perfect shade for your clients.
